FITNESS AND REHAB

As well as working in general fitness, we have had the privilege of working with individuals who have had major accidents resulting in head injury, broken bones, joints, back and neck trauma, persons with high blood pressure, stroke, multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, sclera derma, hemophilia, spina bifida, parkinsons, cancer, lung disease and eating disorders. We recommend that all clients be monitored by a health professional. Constant communication between health professionals and the client is vital to successful strategy building and safe programming.

KATIE STOYLES

Katie is a canfitpro certified personal trainer and she currently owns and operates a personal fitness training gym. Katie started her personal training business in 1997 after working for numerous years in fitness.

Katie has a B-PhEd from Brock University, Katie is certified through CanFitPro (Canadian Fitness Professionals) which requires continuing education and annual re-certification. Katie instructed fitness theory (biology, anatomy, etc) at Seneca College, and has been certified through The American Council on Exercise from 1993 - 2007. Katie is certified through the 3M National Coaching Certification Program. She was certified as a Professional Fitness & Lifestyle Consultant through York University as established by the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology - National Committee on Fitness Appraisal Certification and Accreditation (FACA) as well as holding a certification with the Canadian Association of Sport Sciences (CFA) as established by the CASS/ACSS - committee on Fitness Certification and Accreditation 1998 - 2006.

Katie's continuing education includes Certification through Reebok to teach STEP, Certification through the Canadian Fitness Council, Canadian Aerobic Instructor Network Certification, Nordic Walking Group Leader Certification with the Canadian Nordic Walking Association, Kardio-Karate Kickboxing Certification as well as a Level IV Touch For Health Certificate issued by the Canadian Association of Specialized Kinesiology- to list some of many qualifications she has earned.

Katie has received numerous awards for her work in the fitness industry including recognition from the Hospital for Sick Children Foundation as an advisory committee member for the 'Miracles in Motion' fundraisers. Katie held similar roles and received awards as coordinator of the Terry Fox Run/Walkathon, Day event Coordinator of The Persechini Easter Seal Run, Co-organizer of the Heart and Stroke Aerobatics and she continues to donate her time to the MS Society, receiving a 10 year recognition award in 2010.

At Primary level and College level for 8 years. Katie planned and implemented course content. She evaluated students progress and performance, and provided support and guidance for those with special needs, she taught at the Toronto Montessori schools, Seneca College and Lake Wilcox Public School.

Chris works as a Personal Trainer at Katie Stoyles' private training studio. She has been involved her entire life in competitive sports as well as working in a coaching capacity. She has worked with clients aged 9 to 83 years old and enjoys helping people reach their goals.


TRACEY TAYLOR

Tracey works as a Personal Trainer at Katie Stoyles' private training studio. She is currently working towards a certification in Pre & Post Natal as a Personal Trainer.
